Inspired by the famous New York dessert, this strawberry cheesecake ice cream combines the richness of fromage frais, the sweetness of milk and the freshness of strawberries in an ultra-creamy texture.
Easy to make without an ice-cream maker, it can be prepared in just a few minutes and transformed into a frozen dessert worthy of an ice-cream parlour, especially if you use a food processor such as the following Ninja Creami.
Perfect for summer (or any sweet tooth), it will appeal to both fruit lovers and fans of gourmet desserts.
Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

1 cup of whole milk
1 cup of Philadelphia-type fromage frais
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh strawberries (cut into small pieces)
1 tbsp. strawberry jam
Petit LU cookies, speculoos or crumbled shortbread
Directions
- Prepare the cheesecake base
In a large bowl, mix the fromage frais with the sugar until smooth.
Add the strawberry pieces and mix gently.
Pour in the milk and stir until fully incorporated. - Freeze the preparation
Pour the mixture into an airtight jar (ideally compatible with your ice cream maker). Ninja Creami).
Place in freezer for 24 heures. - Turn into a creamy ice cream
Once well frozen, insert your jar into the machine and start the “Ice Cream”.
Then add 2 shots of milk (approx. 40-60 ml) and launches a “Re-spin” for an ultra-creamy, iced-cheesecake texture. - Add a touch of strawberry
Incorporates the strawberry jam (or caramel) for a marbled effect.
If you want a little extra indulgence, add some cookie crumbs and activates the “Extras”.
Notes
- For a perfect cheesecake, sprinkle a few cookie crumbs over the top before serving, and add a dash of strawberry coulis.
