Ingredients

  • 3 apples

  • 2 pots of Greek yogurt

  • 1 piece of butter

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

  • About 3 tablespoons of brown sugar

  • Cinnamon

  • 10 to 20 g of sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  • Prepare the roasted apples
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into small pieces. Put them in a saucepan with the butter, maple syrup, brown sugar and a generous sprinkling of cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft, caramelized and golden-brown. If necessary, add a little water to prevent sticking.
  • Allow to cool
When the apples have a nice caramel color and melt-in-the-mouth texture, remove the pan from the heat and let cool completely.
  • Prepare the ice base
Pour the cooled apples into your Ninja Creami (or Swirl) jar. Add the Greek yoghurt and condensed milk. Mix coarsely: there should still be visible bits of apple for added indulgence.
  • Freezes the preparation
Place the jar flat in the freezer and leave it to rest for a few minutes. 24 heures.
  • Ice pass
The next day, insert the jar into your machine and run the program Ice Cream.
  • Adjusts texture
If the ice cream is a little too firm, add a tablespoon of cold milk to the top and repeat the cycle. Re-spin to obtain a creamier texture.
  • Italian glaze finish
For an even more airy, gourmet result, pass the ice cream through the Ninja Swirl's Italian ice accessory: you'll get a smooth, melting texture, just like at the ice cream parlour.

Notes

  • You can vary this recipe by adding a few caramelized walnuts or roasted hazelnuts for an extra crunch.
  • The maple syrup can be replaced by honey or agave syrup if you prefer another sweet note.
  • To soften the intensity of the cinnamon, you can add a touch of liquid or powdered vanilla.
  • Finally, don't hesitate to keep a few pieces of caramelized apple aside to add as a topping just before serving: a real treat with autumnal flavors.
