Redcurrant ice cream recipe for Ninja Creami & Ninja Swirl

250g of redcurrants (fresh or thawed frozen)
130 ml of full liquid cream
70 ml of whole milk
70 g powdered sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions
- Blend the currants
Blend the currants with the lemon juice, then pass the mixture through a fine sieve to remove all the small seeds. Next, add the cream, milk, and sugar, and whisk until smooth and homogeneous. - Freezing
Pour the mixture into the jar of Ninja Creami or Ninja Swirl, seal tightly with its lid and place in the freezer for 24 heures, flat. - Transformation into ice
Once the base is completely solidified, place the pot in the machine and select the program. Ice Cream. For the Ninja Swirl, you can also choose the mode Soft Serve in order to serve directly in a cone. - Re-spin if necessary
If the texture seems grainy after the first cycle, restart the cycle. Re-spin to achieve an even creamier result.
Notes
- The sieving step is essential: the currant seeds are very small and would make the texture unpleasant in the mouth.
