minutesIngredients
360 ml whole milk
1 serving of vanilla or chocolate mint flavored protein powder (whey type, approximately 30g)
3 tablespoons of full-fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of sweetener of your choice (sugar, coconut sugar, stevia…)
1 tbsp instant vanilla pudding (regular or sugar-free)
2 to 4 drops of peppermint extract (no classic mint extract)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
Chocolate chips
Directions
- Assemble the base
Pour into the pot of Ninja Creami or Ninja Swirl Whole milk, protein powder, Greek yogurt, sweetener, instant pudding mix, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and green food coloring. Whisk vigorously with a whisk or milk frother until fully incorporated. If lumps persist, first mix the milk and protein powder separately, then add the remaining ingredients. - Freezing
Place the pot in the freezer for 24 heures, flat and without lid — Freezing with the lid on creates a bump on top that could damage the blade. - Transformation into ice
Once the base is completely solidified, place the pot in the machine and select the program. Lite Ice Cream. One pass is usually sufficient. - Incorporation of mix-ins
Scoop a well in the center of the ice cream to the bottom of the container. Add the chocolate chips and/or crumbled mint Oreos, then select the program. Mix-In to distribute them evenly. You can also simply arrange them on top when serving. - Tasting
Serve immediately with additional garnishes as desired.
Notes
- Peppermint extract is much more potent than regular mint extract—2 to 4 drops are plenty. Start with 2 and adjust to taste before freezing.
