Home-made McFlurry Oreo ice cream
Course: IceDifficulty: Easy4
portionsIngredients
250 ml of full-fat liquid cream
150 ml of whole milk
100 to 120 g of sugar
1 teaspoon’vanilla extract
8 à 10 Oreo cookies
Directions
- Prepares the base
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream, milk, sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth. - Freezes the preparation
Pour the mixture into the Ninja Swirl jar. Smooth the surface with a spatula, then place the jar in the freezer for a few minutes. 24 full hours. - Turns to ice
The next day, place your pot in the Ninja Swirl and select the program Ice Cream. The machine will transform your base into a smooth, creamy ice cream. - Add Oreos
Break the Oreos into pieces: some finely crushed for a crumbly effect, others in larger pieces to retain their crunchiness. Add them directly to the ice cream with a spoon, mixing coarsely to achieve the marbled, gourmet effect typical of McFlurry. - Tasting
Pour your homemade McFlurry into a tall glass or bowl. Add a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce if you like, sprinkle a few extra Oreo crumbs on top... and enjoy immediately!
Notes
- You can adjust the recipe to suit your tastes: for a lighter McFlurry, replace the liquid cream with Greek yoghurt or unsweetened condensed milk.
- You can also change things up by replacing Oreos with Kit Kat, M&M's, Smarties or even diced homemade brownies.
- Finally, for an even more gourmet version, add a spoonful of spread (Nutella, peanut butter, speculoos...) just before incorporating the cookies.
