Ninja has officially launched a new benchmark in its slush machine range, and it's a game changer. Ninja Slushi Twist Smart Frozen Drink Maker (FS701BR) It appeared in early May 2026 on the American website SharkNinja, and it's the first home slush machine capable of preparing two different flavors simultaneously, then blending them into a single glass. Here's everything you need to know about this release, while you wait for it to arrive in Europe.
A real innovation: two tanks, one appliance
Until now, the entire Slushi range (the original FS301 model, the Slushi XL, and the Slushi Max) operated with a single bowl, meaning only one flavor at a time. If you wanted a margarita for the adults and a strawberry for the children, you either had to make two batches or buy two machines. The Slushi Twist solves this problem in a rather clever way.
The device includes two independent 48 oz tanks (approximately 1.4 liters per tank, for a total usable capacity of 2.8 liters, out of a total tank capacity of 144 oz). You can prepare two completely different drinks simultaneously, for example, a piña colada on one side and a margarita on the other, or a cola and a cherry drink, or even an alcoholic drink and a non-alcoholic version for children. You can serve each flavor separately, or activate the function SLUSHiTwist™ which combines the two into a single, beautifully twisted glass.
It's this last point that makes the machine truly interesting. Beyond the practical aspect of being able to please everyone, the visual effect of a two-tone slush is exactly the kind of thing that works well on TikTok and Instagram, which undoubtedly explains why Ninja invested in this concept.
Dual SlushAssist technology: say goodbye to manual adjustments
The other real innovation is the Dual SlushAssist™ Technology. In practical terms, each container has sensors that detect the composition of the liquid poured (sugar, alcohol, fat, water) and automatically adjust the freezing temperature. You no longer need to choose a manual program depending on whether you're making a soda slush, a milkshake, or a cocktail with 181% alcohol.
This difference is important because not all liquids freeze the same way. Soda freezes easily, milkshakes take longer due to their fat content, and alcoholic cocktails are much more resistant to freezing. On older Slushi models, you had to manually select the correct preset. Here, the machine handles this automatically, and it does so independently for each container.
In terms of performance, Ninja announces a faster slushing than the original FS301 model, which is consistent with the trajectory of the range (the XL and the Max are already about twice as fast as the FS301).
No ice, cocktails up to 20% of alcohol
Like the entire Slushi range, the Twist doesn't require no ice. You pour your liquid directly into the tank, and the machine freezes the mixture without adding any water. The result: no dilution, the taste remains true to your original recipe.
A very interesting point for cocktail lovers: the Slushi Twist accepts recipes containing up to 20% of alcohol, compared to 16% on the original FS301 model. This is exactly the same tolerance as the Slushi XL and Slushi Max. So you can make generous margaritas, well-balanced daiquiris, or even cocktails with concentrated spirits without worrying that the machine won't be able to set them properly.
In terms of variety, Ninja offers sodas, frappes, margaritas, milkshakes, and stronger alcoholic drinks. The logic is simple: everything that's usually made in a classic Slushi works here, except you can make two at once.

Weighing in at 15.66 kg, it's definitely not a small appliance. You'll need to dedicate a significant amount of space to it on your worktop, or plan for a suitable storage cupboard. That's the price to pay for having two independent bowls and a dual cooling system.
Slushi Twist vs Slushi FS301: which to choose?
If you're hesitating between buying the new Twist and the original FS301 model (still available and cheaper), here are the differences that really matter. The Twist obviously offers two chambers and a mixing function, but also a much larger capacity (96 oz usable capacity versus 64 oz on the FS301), Dual SlushAssist technology that automates everything, better alcohol tolerance (20% versus 16%), and faster slushing.
On the other hand, the FS301 remains an excellent choice if you mainly make slushies for yourself or a small group, and if you don't need to play with multiple flavors simultaneously. The Twist is clearly positioned as a premium model for heavy users, cocktail enthusiasts, frequent hosts, or content creators who want a striking visual.
Availability: USA only for now
And that's where things get complicated for us. The Ninja Slushi Twist is currently only available on the American SharkNinja website., priced at 399.99 $. The American website stopped shipping to Canada a few months ago and redirects Canadian buyers to the local store. No official release date has been announced for Europe, including France.
Based on experience, new Ninja slushies arrive in Europe 6 to 12 months after their US launch. The original Slushi (FS301) followed this pattern, as did the Slushi Max. Therefore, we can reasonably expect it to arrive in France between late 2026 and early 2027, likely under a slightly different model number adapted to European voltage.
If you're really in a hurry and considering buying in the US, keep two important points in mind: the machine operates on 110V (you'll need a transformer, not just a plug adapter), and you won't have a warranty valid in Europe. At $399.99 excluding local taxes and import fees, the cost-benefit analysis is probably not in your favor.
Should we wait for it?
Honestly, for anyone who already loves the Slushi range, the Twist ticks a lot of boxes. The simultaneous dual flavor is a real plus, the SLUSHiTwist function adds a fun element that's perfect for parties, and the Dual SlushAssist eliminates any frustration with the settings. The only real drawbacks, aside from availability, are its size and price.
If you're looking for a machine for occasional family use, the original Slushi or the Slushi Max will be more than sufficient and are still available. If you entertain often, make cocktails regularly, or want to be able to offer several flavors without juggling multiple batches, the Twist will clearly be the right choice as soon as it's available in Europe.
We will obviously be closely following the arrival of this machine on the European market, and we will update this article as soon as an official date is announced by SharkNinja.
